Ready to start your journey with Ally Behavior Centers? We know that navigating the world of ABA, Speech, and Occupational Therapy can feel overwhelming — so we’ve streamlined our enrollment process to be as transparent and supportive as possible. Here is everything you need to know about getting started and what to expect at every step.

How Do I Get My Child Started at Ally Behavior Centers?

The fastest way to start the conversation is through our website. We prioritize digital inquiries to ensure no one gets lost in the shuffle.

Fill out our Parent Contact Form at www.allybehavior.com – it only takes a minute or two to get you in our system. After submitting, you’ll receive an immediate email with next steps, and an enrollment specialist will call you shortly after to follow up.

Need a human touch? If you have trouble with the form or prefer to speak with someone directly, call us at (240) 342-2666. We will be happy to help!

What Are the Stages of the Enrollment Process — and What Can I Expect at Each One?

Our process is designed to handle the heavy lifting — like insurance verification — so you can stay focused on your child. Here’s what to expect from start to finish:

  • Submit Interest — Fill out the Parent Contact Form, we will reach out to receive a photo of your insurance card. Benefit checks can sometimes take a few days, so we like to start here to make sure every conversation from that point on is informed by your specific coverage.
  • Parent Information Call — Schedule a call with an Enrollment Specialist to discuss your child’s specific needs, our clinical approach, and any forms that may still be needed (such as your intake form).
  • Tour the Center — Visit one of our locations! You’ll meet our Center Operations team, see the environment, and get answers to all your questions — from day-to-day routines to how we measure progress. We always encourage parents to bring their child and see how they react to our fun-filled space in person.
  • Initial ABA Assessment — Your child will meet with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to determine their current skill level and needs.
  • Individualized Therapy Plan — We develop a custom plan tailored to help your child gain and retain the skills for thriving in Kindergarten and beyond. We will meet your child exactly where they are.

In centers with immediate openings, we often schedule the initial assessment right after the tour to confirm your spot and get things moving as quickly as possible.

What Information Will Ally Behavior Ask For — and Why?

Transparency is key. We ask for specific details early on so we can provide you with the most accurate picture of your coverage and ensure nothing delays your child’s first day.

  • Zip Code & Contact Info — This helps us pair you with the nearest center and your dedicated Enrollment Specialist.
  • Insurance Card (Front & Back) — We need both sides so our team can verify your active coverage and provide you with a summary of your benefits for ABA, Speech, and OT services. Throughout enrollment, we handle the outreach to your insurance provider directly — so you can stay focused on your child.
  • Diagnostic Documentation — Most insurance providers require specific referrals or proof of diagnosis to authorize therapy services. Collecting this early ensures there are no surprises or delays before your child’s first day. The enrollment team will always follow up with you if anything is missing.

What Does It Mean to Be on the Waitlist?

Because of the high demand for our full-time therapy model, some centers may have a waitlist. Here’s what that means for you:

  • No commitment. Being on our waitlist doesn’t lock you in. We actually encourage families to keep looking for services elsewhere if the wait is long — early intervention is too important to delay.
  • Regular updates. We provide updates via email and phone, and you are always welcome to check in with us for a status report at any time.
  • Flexibility. If you enroll elsewhere and a spot opens up at Ally later, our specialists can walk you through the process of transitioning to our full-time program if you choose to make the switch. If you’ve already found support — we’re happy for your family!
